With students from over 100 countries, ҕl are proud sponsors of the awards, alongside Christchurch Educated, the Christchurch City Council and ChristchurchNZ. The awards celebrate the social, cultural, academic and economic contributions of international students in Ōtautahi Christchurch, one of the top 100 student cities in the world (QS 2025).
There are four award categories that allow us to recognise the contribution outstanding international students have made in the region, particularly in respect to our university or wider community.
1. Community Engagement Award
2. Leader and Mentor Award
3. Cultural Ambassador Award
4. Supreme Award – Mayor's International Student of the Year Award
The winners will be announced at the Mayor’s Annual Awards evening on Thursday 7 August at Ngā Hau E Whā National Marae.
