Software Engineering Speed Interview Event
The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering invites 2nd and 3rd year Software Engineering students to participate in the Midyear Talent Sprint Event, where industry employers will meet with students on July 18th from 1:30–3:30 pm in Rehua 005.
This event offers a unique opportunity to meet industry professionals and participate in brief interviews for summer work experience, part-time employment, or future graduate roles (note: not Final Year Projects). Employers will spend 10 minutes with individual students to discuss potential opportunities and assess your interest and suitability. It serves as an excellent initial introduction to identify future employment pathways.
To participate, you will need to register for each employer you wish to meet using the booking links below. Tickets will assign you a 10-minute interview slot during the event (1:30–3:30 pm). You may book up to 3 interviews but must ensure you do not book yourself into two interviews during the same 10-minute period. Please book before 5:00 pm on 16 July.
IMPORTANT: If you are unable to attend or change your mind, please let us know. It is much better for us to offer the slot to another student rather than having an employer wait for an interview that does not occur. Cancellations can be sent to scott.collier@canterbury.ac.nz.
